COVID Policy

Lyndsey Giddy Waxing Perfectionist COVID-19 infection, prevention & control policy.

Please read before you attend your appointment. I will have a copy of this for you to sign when you arrive.

What will be different:

– Please arrive on time, not earlier or later. I am hoping to avoid having more than one client in the salon at one time.

– Upon arrival you’ll need to wash your hands, please use my bathroom to your right on the way in. There is a soap dispenser and paper towel for you to dry your hands with. Hand washes should be for a minimum of 20 seconds, paying particular attention to nails.

– I will be wearing gloves, visor and an apron.

Disposable towels will be used where possible

Hand sanitiser will be available.

Everything will be cleaned and disinfected after each client, including all surfaces, toilets, door handles etc.

Cancellations during the COVID 19 pandemic

If you or anyone in your house displays the below symptoms please DO NOT attend your appointment, please contact me as soon as you can so that I know you are not coming. My cancellation policy has been amended and there is no charge at present for last-minute cancellations so please don’t worry if you can’t make it, I would rather we all keep safe than take any risks.

The main symptoms of coronavirus are found on the NHS Site below, please check before attending an appointment:

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/check-if-you-have-coronavirus-symptoms/

To protect others, if you have any of these symptoms, stay at home. I will of course, immediately self-isolate and cancel appointments should I display any COVID–19 symptoms, which may also mean last-minute cancellations. I will offer you another appointment.

What I ask of you:

– Please bring your own face mask to the salon. I have masks if you are unable to do this at an additional £2.00 to your appointment.

– For the time being, I’m afraid I cannot provide refreshments.

– Please wash your hands upon arrival.

– Please use your bathroom before leaving home. The toilet will, of course, be available for you but we need to reduce use as much as possible.

– I can still accept cash and card payments.

– Please come alone to your appointment.

– Please do feel comfortable to alert me if you feel I could do things differently or if anything becomes uncomfortable for you during your visit. This is a new situation for all of us and I’m always happy to receive feedback.

-Please only come into the salon with minimal belongings.

-With changes to policy and procedures which include PPE and extended measures in line with Covid-19, I have had to make adjustments to how I carry out procedures.

Please do bear with me during this time. It’s a massive learning curve and hopefully a short-term protocol. I’m sure there will be ups and downs and changes along the way, but as always, your safety is paramount and I will do my best to keep things running as smoothly as possible so you can enjoy your wonderful treatments and enjoy your experience with me. It’s a different kind of normal but my enthusiasm for my work remains the same. Thank you for your understanding, I can’t wait to catch up with you.

Lyndsey xx
